Walk the Pathway

The Oikos Pathway isn’t something you complete — it’s something you practice over time.

Each week, we share short devotions to help you take a simple step in your everyday life.

Belong

Learning to Be Here
Belonging comes before believing. At Oikos, we begin by creating space — space to breathe, to be seen, and to be welcomed as you are.

This is a place where:
• You don’t have to explain yourself
• You’re not expected to perform
• You’re allowed to take your time
Belonging is learned simply by being present — worshiping, listening, sharing life, and
letting trust grow naturally. There is no starting line here.
If you’re here, you already belong.

Listen

Learning God’s Story
Faith grows as we listen — again and again — to the story God is telling.
At Oikos, we learn God’s story primarily through Scripture, centered on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus.

This learning:
• Welcomes questions
• Makes room for doubt
• Takes Scripture seriously without turning it into a test
We trust that over time, God’s story begins to reframe our own — shaping how we see
God, ourselves, and the world. Understanding unfolds slowly.
Listening is enough.

Practice

Learning the Way of Jesus
Faith is not only something we believe — it is something we practice.

At Oikos, we learn the way of Jesus through simple, grace-filled practices:
• Prayer
• Confession and forgiveness
• Sabbath and rest
• Generosity and hospitality
• Love of neighbor
These practices are not about getting it right. They are ways we learn to rely on grace in everyday life. We expect imperfection.
Grace meets us there.

Live

Learning Missional Living
Mission is not a program or a project. It is a way of life we learn. Missional living means learning to notice where God is already at work — in our homes, neighborhoods, workplaces, and relationships.

At Oikos, we learn missional living by:
• Paying attention to our neighbors
• Living faithfully in our vocations
• Practicing compassion and mercy
• Showing up with presence rather than pressure
You don’t have to be “ready” to live this way. You learn it as you go.

Accompany

Learning to Walk With Others
Faith deepens when we walk together. As trust grows, we learn how to accompany one another — especially through suffering, uncertainty, and change.

This looks like:
• Listening without fixing
• Carrying burdens together
• Offering prayer and presence
• Walking alongside others over time
There are no experts here — only companions. We never graduate from learning.
We simply learn to walk with others as we are walked with ourselves.

A Gentle Invitation

Faith is learned in many ways and at many paces.

Most of us are learning in more than one place at the same time.

There is no rush. Grace is patient.
