The Lies We Buy (Lent)

Jesus calls Satan the father of lies (John 8:44) and later in John 10:10, He says that Satan comes to “steal, kill, and destroy.” As God’s sons and daughters, we are engaged in a spiritual battle against the enemy on a daily basis. The devil wants us to buy into his lies so that we forget both who God is and who we are. During Lent, we will be taking a look at six lies we often believe: God is Not a Good Father, I Am in Control, I Am Unworthy, I Am Alone, I Am Unredeemable, and God is Not a Good King. As we hear God’s word to us this season, may we all be able to identify the lies we buy, repent, and believe the Good News of God’s promises.
