There is room for you at The Table
The Lord’s Supper is not a test to pass. It is a promise to receive. Christ comes to us here — not because we are ready, but because He is faithful.
At Oikos, we celebrate the Lord’s Supper every Sunday. We believe this meal is not something we earn or explain away — it is a gift Jesus gives to His people. In the bread and wine, Christ gives Himself for you — for the forgiveness of sins, the strengthening of faith, and the comfort of weary hearts.
Questions are welcome
What is the Lord's Supper?
On the night before His death, Jesus took bread and wine and promised that He is truly present with
His people in this meal. The Lord’s Supper is:
• Christ’s body and blood, given and shed for you
• A promise of forgiveness and grace
• A meal of unity with Christ and one another
• A place of mercy, not perfection
This is not a reward for good behavior. It is nourishment for those who need grace.
Who is the Supper for?
The Lord’s Supper is for those who:
• Trust Jesus’ promise in this meal
• Desire forgiveness and renewal
• Are learning to live by grace
If you are baptized and share this confession, you are welcome to receive.
If you are unsure, questioning, or not ready — you are still welcome here.
You may:
• Remain seated
• Come forward for a blessing
• Take time to observe and reflect
There is no pressure — only invitation.
How do I prepare?
Preparation is not about being “worthy.”
It is about being honest.
You may prepare by:
• Taking a moment of quiet prayer
• Reflecting on your need for grace
• Trusting Christ’s promise rather than your own strength
Simple prayers are enough, such as:
“Lord, I need Your mercy.”
“Jesus, forgive me and strengthen my faith.”
You do not need perfect understanding. You do not need a perfect week.
You come because you need what Christ gives.
What if I have questions?
Questions are welcome.
If you would like to talk with a pastor about the Lord’s Supper — what it means, whether to receive, or how to prepare — we would be glad to walk with you.
Faith is learned over time. Grace is patient.
