Prayer for the Day from Sara Lytle
“The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” Exodus 14:14
The Lie: As I went to bed one night, I was asking the Lord to help me find the words to express fear. He woke me up at 3:00am with my middle daughter standing by my bed, shaking. She had a bad dream about snakes and she was truly frightened. As I held her, I was reminded of nightmares that have awoken me---fear of monsters under my bed, fear of falling from a great height, fear of losing a child. It is in that fear that I reminded my child that God is a Good, Good Father and that He will keep her safe from harm.
Prayer: Dear Loving Father, you are our protector from all harm. In your arms, we find safety and rest. We do not need to be afraid because you are with us always! In Jesus name. Amen.
