Lenten Daily Devotional: Catheryn Martinez

Lenten Daily Family Devotions

Prayer for the Day from Catheryn Martinez
“He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong, upright and just is he.” Deuteronomy 32:4
The Lie: I have always struggled with the idea of success. I belittle myself, I say I'm not good enough and there is someone better. At any job, I do whatever is asked of me and more. I never say no, even if it compromises my own health. Whether it's the idea of being the perfect intern, student, or even friend I think I'm not good enough. Maturing through the years, I have learned that in the right persons eyes I am perfect. I don't need to be flawless at a job to get it, I don't need to have all the connections in the world to succeed. I don't need to be so critical of myself.
Prayer: I pray that each and every one of the Lord's followers know they are good enough and they are loved. They do have a place in this world, we just have to be patient. Perfection shouldn't be the goal, it is unattainable; rather attempt to mature, in your faith, your mind, and your love. Amen
