Lenten Devotions: Mike Marziani

Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall. – Psalm 55:22
The Lie: Have you ever rationally and irrationally worried about the health of your loved ones? I sometimes fear the worst, whether it is thinking of my parents’ age or my spouse’s travels. Often these fears are unfounded or preoccupy my thoughts more than they should. I have to remind myself that I am not in control - God is - and that my time, effort and thought would be better spent serving God elsewhere.
Prayer: Dear Lord, you are in control and that gives us comfort. Ease the worries we have. Care for our families and loved ones and provide health. We trust in your strength. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Prayer for the Day from - Mike Marziani
