What's Happening in the Homebrewed MC by Jason Phelps

Ashley and I have loved being a part of what the Lord is doing within our spiritual family called the Homebrewed MC. Since we began this journey, we have been able to welcome dozens of people into our home—both friends and strangers. Our prayer is that our home continues to be a house of peace for anyone who gathers with us.

Our mission is to strengthen families shoulder-to-shoulder. But what does this actually look like for us? It means that the Phelps family is intentional about building relationships, being sensitive to the needs of others and sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s prompting. We are quick to welcome the hurting and broken into our family. It might be providing meals or watching someone’s child. It may be opening up our spare bedroom. It may be teaching people how to cook healthy meals on a tight budget, and it may be walking alongside a couple on the brink of divorce. However, this is not just mine and Ashley's mission, but that of our entire spiritually Homebrewed family.

So as of March, we are now only gathering on the second and fourth Fridays of the month in order to create space for the rest of our spiritual family to open up their homes as places of peace for others, so that they may strengthen families shoulder-to-shoulder. The Lord continues to bring people to us, so I invite you to join us, our spiritually Homebrewed family, as we are used by God to strengthen families shoulder-to-shoulder.
